Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Welcome to Uganda
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, just outside Uganda’s bustling capital, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Vivid Adventure Safaris Ltd. After a seamless arrival process, you will be transferred to your hotel to rest and refresh after your journey.

Day 2: Scenic Transfer to Kibale National Park
After an early breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Kibale National Park, a primate-lover’s paradise. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking landscapes, spot black-and-white colobus monkeys, and admire the stunning crater lakes and rolling hills. Your lodge is perfectly set against the backdrop of towering peaks and a serene crater lake.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Wetland Walk
Start your day with a chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale Forest, which hosts 13 primate species, including red-tailed monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and blue monkeys. Witness the playful and intelligent chimpanzees in their natural habitat.
After lunch, enjoy a guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, where you’ll encounter butterflies, primates, and over 200 bird species. Later, a resident primatologist will join you for an insightful talk about conservation efforts in Uganda.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its diverse wildlife, crater lakes, and savannah plains. This park is home to elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and over 600 bird species.

Day 5: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Safari
Begin the day with a guided sunrise game drive through the Kasese Plains, where you might spot lions, leopards, elephants, Uganda kobs, and buffalos.
In the afternoon, set off on a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, one of Africa’s most biodiverse water systems. This 2-hour cruise offers close-up sightings of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a variety of colorful bird species.

Day 6: Tree-Climbing Lions & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, drive through the southern Ishasha plains, famous for its tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a picnic lunch as you take in the stunning landscapes before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, as well as rare birds, butterflies, and lush jungle scenery.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking – A Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience
Wake up early for the highlight of your safari – mountain gorilla trekking. After a briefing by expert rangers, embark on an unforgettable trek through the dense jungle in search of a habituated gorilla family.
Once you find them, spend an awe-inspiring hour observing their interactions, playful gestures, and familial bonds. This is truly one of the most moving wildlife encounters in the world.
If time allows, enjoy a nature walk to nearby waterfalls or visit a local Batwa community, where you can experience traditional music and dance.

Day 8: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, travel to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park but rich in biodiversity.
Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive, where you’ll spot zebras, elands, Cape buffaloes, impalas, and topis. Bird watchers will delight in spotting over 250 bird species.

Day 9: Nature Walk & Return to Entebbe
Start your morning with a guided nature walk, where you can experience the park’s wildlife on foot. Later, begin your journey back to Kampala, with a stop at the Uganda Equator for photos and souvenirs.
Arrive in Entebbe in the evening and settle into your hotel for a relaxing final night.
